Click to expand. From what I understand, the.DAX format of playable games was used a very long time ago (on a older CFW) or something similar. Nowadays, the newer CFW's only need play.ISO's and.CSO's. Quite simply put,.DAX is very outdated and most likely not supported in newer CFW releases anymore (even though the option is still available in UMDgen).I would recompress the ISO into a CSO and stick that in the ms0:ISO folder instead (remember, you can reverse the conversion process if you need to recover that ISO from your DAX.).EDIT: Actually just found out you need a program called 'DAX ZISO Loader' if you absolutely need to run a.DAX. However, the program appears outdated and might not even work on current CFW's.
Psp - iso, cso, dax. I am a complete newbie to all this homebrew and stuff, but I was hoping somebody could help me with getting full PSP games on my PSP without the UMD. I tried doing it on my own, but I'm hopeless. I think you're talking about the DAX ZISO Loader it was for 1.50 by the way, once i tried compressing a game's ISO to.dax and.jso but it never was smaller than the.cso, probably that's why those format ain't used anymore.
