The Silhouette CAMEO 3 has all of the same capabilities as the previous versions along with a few added features. It features a dual-carriage so you can use two tools at once and it features Bluetooth technology. To top it all off, the CAMEO 3 is the only machine compatible with Silhouette’s new AutoBlade.

I recently picked up a Cameo 3 and I have hardly used it so far. My problem is that it will constantly jam when it cuts on the right side. It starts out fine on the left and then when it gets to the right it will jam and start shaking like crazy until it's time to go back to the left. I don't know why it keeps jamming like this especially since it is new. The sticky mat is pretty ruined since I had no idea what I was doing when I first used it. Would you think it is the mat or something else?Video of it jamming:.
If the mat is particularly worse on the right side that could be an issue. But the first things I'd check is make sure the lever on the right is locked (should be UP not DOWN, that one got me a few times because I'd expect down to be locked). Check that the white roller is touching the edge of the mat and not the material.
If there's a bubble or bad spot underneath where the roller goes it could cause it to jam. Check that nothing is behind the machine causing it to bind as the mat comes out the back. Look at the white strip that runs underneath the blade track and see if something is on it or if it's tore up. And ensure you have removed any and all traces of packing tape.
As others have said. Move the carriage manually and make sure there's nothing on the belt that could be causing it to stick. The only time I've had a problem with not cutting the right side it was actually due to the roller being on top of the material and as the mat advanced it was pushing it down and kind of compressing the vinyl so it didn't get cut as deep. So definitely check the roller positions as the machine ships with them, if I recall correctly, close together on the left side. Also, I don't recognize the material you are trying to cut here. If this is printable vinyl I Know it can be super hard to tell which side is which (I have a pack of the Silhouette brand I hadn't used yet and never really checked it before). Make sure you have the vinyl side up and not the backing or you may actually being cutting through the paper and causing the blade to stick to the vinyl. My silhouette printable looks like your material on the back (paper) side - the vinyl side is a much more matte finish.
Paper is attached sticky side upI'm not 100% sure what you mean, but. This doesn't sound right. If you are using pressure-adhesive vinyl (signage vinyl), you should have the vinyl/shiny side up, and the paper backing stuck to the cutting mat.If you are using heat transfer vinyl (t-shirt vinyl), you should have the shiny plastic carrier sheet down, against the mat, and the matte side (that feels like vinyl, not plastic) up.If you are trying to cut from the wrong side on pressure-adhesive vinyl, that would totally cause jamming. If you cut on the wrong side of HTV you'll generally just ruin the vinyl by cutting up the carrier sheet (I have totally done this) but it shouldn't jam because the blade is more than capable of kiss-cutting the carrier sheet.
